Kara Wild

Kara Wild is an artist, comrade and resilient force of nature, currently being detained in France for her alleged participation in a protest against draconian labor reforms and police repression. She is a trans woman and is currently being held in a men’s jail. She is also a U.S. citizen and has been denied bond because French authorities consider her a flight risk.

Christopher Monfort

Monfort is accused of waging a one-man war against the Seattle police in the fall of 2009.

On October 22, 2009, police vehicles parked in a vehicle maintenance yard in Seattle were firebombed. Several vehicles were destroyed and many damaged in the action. A communique was issued days later tying the incident to the beating of a young girl held in custody by Seattle Police.

Andrew Mickel

Andrew “Andy” Mickel is a former resident of Springfield, Ohio. He graduated from Springfield’s North High School in 1998 and went on to serve three years with the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division before attending Evergreen State College and becoming a journalist with Indymedia.org.  In December 2001, he went to Israel with a pro-Palestinian activist group pushing for an end to Israeli occupation. The following summer, he went to Colombia, South America, to study nonviolent resistance, and to Northern Ireland.

Joy Powell, Reverend

As a pastor and a consistent activist against police brutality, violence and oppression in her community, Rev. Joy Powell was warned by the Rochester Police department that she was a target because of her speaking out against corruption. On many occasions Rev. Joy had held rallies and spoke out against the police brutality and “police justifications” in Rochester NY. As a result, Rev. Joy was accused of 1st Degree Burglary and Assault on October 9, 2006.
